Who is the Haiti Recovery & Development Company?

Founded by Jim Lange in response to the January 12, 2010 earthquake that devastated Haiti, the goal of the Haiti Recovery & Development Company is to actively assist the country of Haiti and its citizens under a new model, the GFO, in the creation of a “nation-centric” economic engine whereby financial self-reliance is ultimately achieved.

HR&DC is a for-profit limited liability company (LLC). It was established in February 2010 in Tampa, Florida.  The purpose for creating a for-profit entity was to show the private sector that profit is possible in Haiti while assisting the nation and its people out of their current impoverished state.  At the end of 20 years, it is HR&DC’s intention to transfer all of HR&DC’s shares in the Haiti Recovery & Development Company, LLC, into a public trust fund for the Haitian people with said trust fund being administered by a board of trustees.

The
HR&DC management team brings more than 75 years of experience across a multitude of disciplines and industries.  Additionally, the initial strategic partnerships forged provide critical resources across nearly every initiative called out within the Government of Haiti’s “Action Plan For National Recovery And Development Of Haiti” published in March 2010.

We commit ourselves to work day-to-day, to assist Haiti and its citizens through its present struggles until such a time as they can make do on their own – to inspire
The Haitian Renaissance!
